About Macazz

Macazz furniture company was set up by Jos Castelijns in 2005. The history of the company goes back to the 80s, when Jos started his career in his garage. In the meantime, the Macazz brand has grown into a valued and creative label, where craftsmanship and customisation are paramount. In the meantime, his son, Harm Castelijns, has taken over the family business and together with the Macazz team, he has the ambition to continue to develop the business. In 2018, Macazz purchased the well-known BENCH brand with the intention of continuing the production and sale of these beautiful models. The elegant, often timeless models with excellent seating comfort fit perfectly with the Macazz philosophy. For this reason, we have chosen to add the BENCH design models to the Macazz collection.

Craftmanship

All products are made by the best professionals. They are characterised by having a lot of passion for the used material and the end product. All materials are therefore carefully selected by the design team. Because the entire process from design to production is done within the company, the quality and authenticity can be well monitored and guaranteed. Macazz does not use automated processes, which means that we can always implement any adjustments or requirements.

Style

The style can be described as luxurious and modern. All our products are carefully designed, with great attention to detail. We only work with fabrics and leather that are produced by leading brands. The constant striving for the highest quality has ensured that we get to work with the best professionals in interior design. Our collection can be viewed in our showroom at the ETC Design Centre in Culemborg. We change this showroom every year, so that we can show different moods in different settings.

Our collection

Traditional Dutch entrepreneurship is combined with a sense of style and an eye for detail. An experience that started back in the 80s and a flair that belongs to the young management. We design and produce entirely in-house. Expert in precise manual work, performed with care and attention.

We create and make our own designs and implement them, based on a profound technical foundation. We identify trends in the market and respond to it in our way. We are assisted by various designers, including Bart Conen, the designer of BENCH design, a collection that has recently been taken over by us and whose models are now part of the Macazz collection.

Bespoke items

Macazz is in control of the production itself, which means we can easily respond to the wishes of the customer when it comes to customization. Most models can be adjusted in terms of size and comfort without losing sight of the original design.

In collaboration with the leading fabric houses and leather suppliers, there is a great offer of flexibility in the area of ​​upholstery, so that each piece of furniture acquires its own special character. Every final bespoke item is unique and precisely this exclusivity is our strength and recognition point towards our clients.

The Macazz design team is curious and, above all, innovative to come up with new interpretations for the collection. This inquisitive attitude often involves playful and controversial designs that must be presented in a distinct way.

Private projects

As a company we strive for a perfect detailed finalization of large projects together with our dealers. We work closely together to elaborate these projects as efficient as possible.

We share our expertise on how the quality and appearance of an item can be improved without adjusting the original design.

Many of our dealers design an entire house with Macazz items, because all the items are aligned so they can be perfectly combined.

A style that is implemented from a sofa into a headboard and implemented in a corresponding bed case. Macazz’s furniture series consist of sofas, chairs, dining chairs, bar chairs, beds, dining tables and coffee tables, which can be combined in a project.

Hospitallity projects

As a company we do not just focus ourselves entirely on the finalization of private projects. We are expanding our brand through the production and delivery of suiting seating area’s in public spaces.

As shown on the left, it portrays the VIP lounge at Frankfurt airport where BENCH models have been applied to the interior. Besides the Frankfurt  airport projects, our items can also be FOUND at Walt Disney, Parkhotel The Hague, Hotel Cap-Eden-Roc Kempinsky Munchen and Hyat Paris.

Within these specific projects we offer our clients  a few different gradations of our expertise. Our design team can assist with the furniture selection and choosing the best suiting fabrics based on the color palette and wishes of the client. 

For large projects we like to meet in our showroom in Culemborg: The ETC Design Center, to discuss about the requirements, wishes and the expectation of the client.

Worldwide market

Macazz collaborates with dealers and interior designers worldwide. The Netherlands is the largest market in terms of dealer networks, but we do not exclude other opportunities abroad. We have an internationally appealing collection, with added luxury and a classic touch. Macazz furniture is present in a large extent of countries. In some markets, we are also represented by dealers who show our products.
